The app is a local-first estimation workbench. It helps you build an indicative picture of a stay budget — accommodation, travel, food, extras and contingency — from figures you enter yourself. Scenarios, saved results and estimates are held on your own device.

The core workflow is designed to work without a connection to the company. Nothing in the app requires you to create an account, and the company does not operate a server that receives your saved estimates.

How the App Works

Woodland Holiday Lodges runs entirely on your Android device. You enter your own figures, work through one or more scenarios, and the app calculates and stores the results locally. The company does not need to receive anything from you for the app to function.

Because the workbench is local, the estimates and scenarios you build remain under your control on the device you are using. The company has no view of them and no way to retrieve them.

Information Held on Your Device

As you use the app, the information you enter and the results produced from it are written to the application's own storage on your device. This local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow.

The figures you enter may relate to a real or imagined trip and may contain details you consider personal. You choose what to type in. If you would rather not enter such details, you can use the workbench with general, non-identifying numbers instead.

Exporting, Copying and Sharing

The app can produce a summary of your estimates that you may export, copy or share. Any such action is started by you through the Android system, and it takes effect only at the moment you choose it. Local content remains on the device unless you decide to export, copy or share it.

Once you save or send an exported summary, that copy exists wherever you placed it — a file location, another app or a message thread. The company does not hold that copy and cannot remove it for you.

Contact and External Services

Some parts of the app may open another application on your device when you select them. A contact action can open your browser, your email client or a maps application, depending on what you tap. These are external Android services, and they operate under their own privacy practices.

If you write to the company by email, the company receives your email address and whatever your message contains. That is ordinary correspondence and is separate from anything the app stores locally.

What the App Does Not Include

The app does not require login or account registration, does not provide payment processing, and does not offer subscriptions or other monetisation features.

Nothing the app produces is legal, financial, insurance or regulatory advice, and none of it should be treated as a substitute for professional advice or for confirmation obtained directly from the company or another provider.

Retention and Deletion

Local content stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual saved estimates inside the app, use the controls provided to clear all local app data, clear the app's storage through your Android device settings, or uninstall the application. Removing the app removes the local content it held.

Exported or shared summaries are outside the app's control once you have saved or sent them, and they remain wherever you chose to put them until you delete them there.

Security

Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Protecting the device itself — for example with the screen lock you configure — remains with you, as does the handling of any file you export or share.

Your Rights in the UK and EEA

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including rights of access, correction, deletion and restriction, where those rights apply under law. Whether they apply in a given case depends on whether personal data is being processed and on the circumstances.

The company does not receive your locally stored estimates as part of the app's core workflow, so those rights are mainly relevant to information you send the company directly, such as an email. Locally stored content can usually be managed on your device or removed by uninstalling the application.

Children's Privacy (13+)

The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised from time to time to reflect changes to the app or to how information is handled. When that happens, the revision date shown with this policy is updated. You are welcome to review the current version whenever you wish.
